These sport-weight socks are a warm and fast knit perfect for toddling around the house in on a cold, winter day. The cross-bar design on the main foot is inverted for the cuff making these socks perfect to wear with a folded cuff. Bring out your wildest variegated colors because this design brings out the splashes of color contrast without being too busy!

These socks are less complicated than they look and are suitable for a first time sock knitter as well as more experienced ones.

Instructions for adjusting the size are provided, along with target gauge for different size feet. Though it is suggested to vary needle size to hit a target gauge, instructions for increasing and decreasing the total number of stitches for a larger variance are also provided.

The small foot width for a ladies’ size 7 was knit with a single ball of Premier Yarns Cotton Fair Multi. Two balls will likely be necessary for the larger sizes.

The average foot width for a ladies’ size 9 was knit with two hanks of Knit Picks Hawthorne Sport Multi. Be advised that Hawthorne is hand dyed so even within the same dye lot there may be significant color variation.
