Crosshatched Cowl was originally published in Crochet Now magazine, Issue 7. This pattern has been tweaked a little, updated, and now uses U.S. crochet terminology.

Crosshatched Cowl is a simple textured cowl worked in the round. It features a beautiful and easy stitch pattern that is quick to learn and creates a thick squishy fabric.

  • Yarn: Yarn Stories Fine Merino 4 ply; fingering weight; 178 m per 50 g ball; 100% fine merino; 3 balls in Dove
  • Hook: US size E (3.5 mm)

  • 20 sts and 15 rows = 4 x 4’’ (10 x 10 cm)

  • 25¼’’ (64 cm) in circumference, 12¼’’ (31 cm) tall

The pattern is written for one size. You can adjust your cowl and make it as long and wide as desired by working more or fewer stitch and/or row pattern repeats. The stitch pattern is a multiple of 4.
