The Crossways Crop is a simple cropped sweater with dolman sleeves. The design is a perfect comfy, slouchy layering piece. Originally designed to make use of hand-spun yarn, this is the perfect pattern to show off a striping fractal hand-spun yarn or commercial self-striping or variegated yarn.

Knit flat, side-to-side, starting at the Left sleeve up to the neck opening. The Front and Back are knit with separate balls of yarn simultaneously while the neckline is shaped, then joined again to work the Right shoulder and sleeve. After the body is complete, the sleeves and sides are seamed and stitches are picked up and worked in the round in ribbing along the bottom waist edge and around the neckline.

in this pattern, and the finished body size is relative to the length of the torso, it is important to get as close as you can to the st AND row gauge. If unable to match both, opt to target row gauge
