A cowl for the cold winter days against sore throat!
In 2 sizes, child and adult, this cowl is the perfect companion for winter.

Featuring a slipped stitch cable, this cowl is perfect to mastering the cabling without cable needle technique, fully explained in the pattern.

The cowl is easily customisable in any length you like: just keep repeat the 8 main rounds.
The cable repeat is easily memorisable and you will soon get in a very zen mode while knitting this cowl.

The fabric produced is soft and dense at the same time, ensuring you insulation form cold weather.

Skills Needed
Casting-on, knitting, purling, basic increases and decreases, slips stitch, basic cables

Gauge
17 sts and 24 rows over 10cm / 4”, in stockinette stitch in the round, wet blocked
Gauge is crucial for this project, determining not only yarn usage, but also size

Measurement of the finished Cowl
Child adult: 21.5cm / 8.5” 24 cm / 9.5” width, length 16.5 cm / 6.5” 19 cm / 7.5”

Yarn
37 (57) g, 40 (110) m/ 80 (120) yd of any Worsted yarn that will give the correct gauge

Child: De Rerum Natura Gilliat, Worsted/10 ply, 100% merino, 100 g, 250m (273 yd), colourway Nuit d’Été
Adult: Malabrigo Merino Worsted, Worsted/10 ply, 100% merino, 100 g, 192 m (210 yd), colourway Geranio

Needles
4.5 mm (US size 7), 60 cm 23” circular needles, or size to obtain correct gauge
