Originally designed for the Dutch magazine AanDeHaak (nr 44) to introduce the technique carreaux crochet.

You can use any yarn, but since these slippers are made of two layers consider using thin (sock) yarn. There is a table with different kinds of yarn and sizes to get an idea of how many yarn you would need for a pair of slippers.
