This pattern is a companion to my Cryptids Socks and will be the start of the continuation of that pattern. The sizes provided are small and medium but the pattern can be made with a multiple of 8. I used a thinner fingering weight for the sample so I used a 3.00 mm needle with a 16 inch cable in the round. A 32 inch or 40 inch cable is recommended for the decreases.

This hat can be a tighter beanie or made with more rows with the pattern before the decreases to make it bigger. The 136 stitches can fit quite a few head sizes but the 144 is available for a larger head circumference
