Pattern Construction Overview
This pattern is worked in four main parts:
Part 1: Snowflake Mandala + Ring Attachment (Make 2)
Crochet your Snowflake mandalas.
Attach each completed mandala to a metal ring.
Part 2: Star Mandala + Ring Attachment (Make 2)
Crochet your Star mandalas.
Attach each completed mandala to a metal ring.
Joining the four mandala rings together to create the Lantern body.
Part 3: Lantern Top Assembly
Create the textured top section of the lantern.
Create and attach hanging cords.
Attach the top section to the four joined mandalas.
Crochet the 4 hearts.
Fill in the triangular spaces between the mandalas by attaching 4 hearts—one in each section.
Part 4: Lantern Bottom + Finishing Touches
Crochet the bottom section of the lantern.
Add optional decorative elements for extra charm.
Install fairy lights inside to bring your lantern to life with a magical glow.

Gauge Required to make sure your mandalas will fit in the metal rings with some tension.
Swatch instructions: Using 2.5mm hook and Scheepjes Catona Cotton or 4ply cotton.
Row 1: CH 21, DC in 2nd CH from hook and in each CH across. Turn. (20 DC)
Row 2: CH 3 (counts as first TR), TR in each ST across. Turn. (20 TR)
Rows 3 to 6: Repeat Row 2. (4 rows of 20 TR) Fasten off.
Measuring: Measure from edge to edge on a TR row = 9cm, measure from the top of the last row to the bottom of the CH starting row = 4.5cm

Tools Required
Crochet Hook: 2.5mm or 3mm (I used a 2.5mm hook)(Choose based on your yarn and tension — aim for a firm finish.)
Notions & Accessories: Scissors, Pins or Wonder Clips, Yarn Needle, Stitch Markers (minimum of 16 required)
Rings: 5 x 150mm metal rings, 1 x 100mm metal ring
Lighting: 1 set of battery-operated fairy lights with clear or natural-coloured wire (you can choose whether to use multi-coloured or white light - each gives a different effect)
