The Crystal Sweater is a drop shoulder sweater with saddles, knit with a combination of textured and stockinette patterns. It features a stretchy folded collar and saddles that are knit fully in a textured pattern which gives structure to the sweater.
A classic and detailed design for every day wear.
It is worked top-down.

Techniques:
knitting flat, knitting in the round, long-tail cast-on, german short rows, increasing, decreasing, backwards loop cast-on, picking up stitches, bind-off (tubular or your preferred method), folded collar stretchy bind-off.

XXS, XS (S, M, L, XL) (2X, 3X, 4X, 5X) - corresponding to Bust Circumference:
cm: 75, 82 (85.5, 91, 101, 111) (122, 132, 142.5, 152) cm.
inch: 29.5, 32 (33.5, 36, 40, 44) (48, 52, 56, 60)”.

Finished measurements of the garment:

-Sleeve length: approx. 40.5 cm // 16” (customizable).

Ease:
approx. 25 cm (10”) of positive ease at the bust.

MATERIAL:
Circular knitting needles:
-4 mm (US 6) or the required needles to obtain gauge - for main project in stockinette;
-3.5 mm (US 4) or half size smaller than main needles - for textured pattern, saddles, hem and cuffs;
-3 mm (US 2.5) or one size smaller than main needles - for collar.

Cable:
-for body: 80-100-120cm (32-40-48”), depending on size.
-for sleeves and collar: 40 cm (16”).

Yarn:
-Size & Weight: Size 3 - DK.
-Yarn used and yarn’s yardage: Alpaca Fino by Pascuali (100% alpaca wool - 50g = 100m/109y) in colorway undyed.
-Suggested yarn: Alpaca Fino by Pascuali, or any yarn in the same weight.

Yardage per size (approx. for a regular body length):
-grams: 473, 500 (522, 546, 591, 640) (677, 739, 782, 835) g.
-meters: 946, 1000 (1045, 1092, 1181, 1280) (1354, 1477, 1563, 1670) m.

Other: measuring tape, tapestry needle, stitch holders, stitch markers.

Gauge:
-for main project – worked flat in stockinette with 4 mm (US 6) or main needles and blocked: 10x10cm (4x4”) = 21 sts x 28 rows
-for saddles – worked flat in textured pattern A (‘Alternating dot stitch’) with 3.5 mm (US 4) or half-size smaller needles and blocked: 10x10cm (4x4”) = 23 sts x 38 rows
