If you’re looking for a new stitch to learn that’s incorporated into a project someone you love can enjoy, you’re in the right place. The stitch in our cuddle knit baby blanket is like a basket weave with a twist. Since we’re using two strands of medium weight yarn at once, it works up pretty fast too.

With this project you’ll get to practice working with a longer pattern repeat, 12 rows, but with simple stitches to help ease you into it. To help you keep track of where you are within the repeat, we recommend using a stitch marker to mark the first and sixth row or if you have the PDF version, making check marks next to the rows you’ve already completed.
