Cuddle Up With Cables is a beautiful unisex baby blanket, knit in an overall reversible ribbed cable pattern, with simple garter stitch side edges.

Finished size is 24” x 28”.

Pattern includes clearly written instructions for this completely reversible baby blanket.

Materials include approximately 700 yds worsted weight yarn, size 8 circular needles (24-32” length) for knitting the blanket, and size 6 needle for binding off.

Recommended gauge is 4.5 stitches = 1” in stockinette stitch.
Although the blanket is knit in a reversible ribbed cable stitch pattern, gauge is provided in stockinette stitch, for ease in substituting yarns.
Change needle size as necessary, to achieve correct gauge and/or a fabric that you like.
Since this is a blanket, exact gauge is not critical.
It will, however, affect the finished size and amount of yarn used.

Sample was knit using 4 skeins of Berroco Ultra Wool, in color 3311/Dove.

Skills required include casting on, knitting, purling, basic cable skills, and binding off.

Blanket is knit flat in one piece, and is worked on a circular needle to accommodate the width of the blanket.
It can easily be made larger (wider and/or longer).
Keep in mind that if making the blanket larger, you will require additional yarn.

Enjoy knitting this pattern, and please post photos of your finished blankets!
