The adorable Crochet Cupcake Keychain is quick to make and fun to give! They’re a great accessory to add to a bag or backpack, hang from a car’s rearview mirror, make as ornaments, or add as a fun addition to a gift for someone’s birthday or as a thank you. So many possibilities!

The pattern includes instructions to make the basic cupcake with or without the scalloped edge as well as a variety of toppings to further customize your cupcake. Choose from whipped topping/frosting, a cherry, drippy frosting, sprinkles, a heart decoration, and a bow.

Mixing and matching the topping options along with all the yarn color possibilities makes this design forever unique to any holiday or special occasion. The keychain and faces on the cupcake are totally optional too.

Wanting to keep the design open to all skill levels, the pattern is written at an intermediate level with options included in the pattern to simplify the design to a beginner level as needed.

This is also a great project for using up scrap yarn, with the hook and yarn specifics given in the pattern for working in worsted and sport yarn as well as crochet thread.

The Crochet Cupcake is excellent for gifts, display, imaginative play, ornaments, accessories on backpacks and bags, used as a pin cushion, holidays, birthdays, and other special occasions, and so much more!
