Cupcake Party Afghan
When you have a limited amount of time to knit at home it’s nice to have a portable project. After a few too many scarves and shawls I came up with an idea to make a blanket using a modular set of triangles Knit using cakes of Caron yarn the gradient selection of colors or stripes makes this a fun way to add a splash of color to your decor.
This cozy afghan uses lovely purple yarn cakes to create a pentagon-shaped design. Knit in five sections for easier handling when you knit on the road, the sections are blocked and sewn together using a single crochet seam on the back. Shaping is minimal, which makes this the perfect knit for a social evening out with your knitting buddies.
When selecting your cakes to check the dates of manufacture since they don’t use dye lot numbers.
