This sweet pair are transformed from doll to cupcake in a flick of a skirt. Eliza is the pistachio cupcake with green icing, and Annie the raspberry cupcake with pink icing.

A three-needle join is used to neatly join the cupcake case/skirt to the doll’s body, and this pattern also incorporates a picot hem with eyelets and a picot cast on.

Designed by Amanda Berry @fluffandfuzz, the dolls are knit in acrylic DK yarns on single pointed needles (not in the round).

NEEDLES:
Three 3.25mm and a pair of 3.75mm single pointed knitting needles (US 3 & 5).

RECOMMENDED YARN:
Stylecraft Special Double Knit; double knitting/light worsted weight; 100% acrylic; one 100g/295m skein in each shade.


NOTIONS:
Tapestry needle, toy filling, buttons for eyes and beads to decorate.

SIZES:
One size only - The cupcakes stand at 13cm tall, and the dolls at 19cm tall.

TECHNIQUES:
For confident beginners and above, other techniques used include casting on and off, knits, purls, increases and decreases, and seaming to finish.
