Cupid's Arrow Mosaic
Newly Updated: 02.26
Cupid’s Arrow isn’t just a crochet blanket — it’s a love letter stitched one row at a time. Filled with hearts, arrows, and playful nods to Cupid’s famously accurate aim, this design captures all the charm of romance, Valentine’s Day whimsy, and the cozy magic of handmade love.
This blanket feels like that fluttery moment right before Cupid lets an arrow fly. Bold heart motifs and sweeping arrows create a design that’s both eye-catching and timeless, making it perfect for February gifting or year-round snuggling. Whether draped over a couch, folded at the foot of a bed, or wrapped around someone special, Cupid’s Arrow adds warmth in every sense of the word.
As my very first crochet pattern, this design holds a special place in my heart. It marks the beginning of my design journey and reflects the joy, excitement, and hope that comes with creating something meant to be shared. If you’re looking for a project that celebrates love — romantic, platonic, or simply the love of crochet itself — Cupid’s Arrow is ready to be your next heartfelt make.
This pattern is created using overlay mosaic crochet techniques. If you already know the overlay mosaic technique, this is considered a beginner pattern as there are no special stitches. All of my patterns include both graphs and written row by row directions.
Pattern Specifics:
- 48 stitches by 69 rows
- Approximately 500 yards each of two contrasting colors
- Yardage and finished size are dependent on the size hook and yarn you use, as well as your tension and whether you use the negative stitch.
- Approximate size using 3.5mm: 31.5” x 40”
- 1 large graph marked with Xs in light blue and white
For the border, I started by slip stitching through each space around. I crocheted 8 rows of single crochet and then folded it over and joined through the back with slip stitches.
This pattern is for personal use only and not available for commercial use without express consent. Though you cannot resell this pattern, you can sell any projects you make using the pattern.
Thank you so much for looking and have a great day!
