I had various Willow Yarns designer-geared mini-skeins and, after sorting by weight, was pleasantly surprised at the various piles of pleasing color combinations on my desk. I decided motif coasters would be a great way to get good use from them.

This design works with pretty much any weight yarn, works great as a quick stashbusting project, and I plan on making a few more and running them through the washer and dryer. I think a little felting action will add a great dimension to an already super and graphically bold little something something to place under your daily cuppa.
