About the pattern:

The pants are knit top down. The finishing contains crochet with chain stitches and crochet slip stitches.
The waist is knit in ribbing with a casing using method No. 1 or 2.
The hips and legs are knit in stockinette stitch except for some rounds where marked sts on each side of the leg are purled. These purl bumps are used to crochet the curlicues.
The legs are finished with ribbing.

A small and light button for the elastic, approx 10 mm in diameter.
