Romper “Currant” is a knitting recipe (a type of pattern when you don’t have to obtain the author’s gauge, but can use any yarn and matching needles from your stash) written in English for people with intermediate knitting skills.

With this PDF file you will be able to make 2 variations of romper “Currant” with buttons on the front side and on the back side (instructions are provided as Option 1 and Option 2)

You should be able to read Charts and know basic stitches:
knit, purl, bobble (instructions are given), cables, double moss stitch, how to bind off and pick up stitches.

You will need

  • 70/80/100/120/140/160 g (2.5/2.8/3.5/4.2/5/5.6 oz) of DK (8 ply or medium) weight yarn approximately.
  • 2 circular needles matching your yarn, one larger and one smaller
  • tailoring tape
  • 5-6 buttons
  • Removable stitch markers
  • tapestry or thread needle to hide loose ends
  • stitch holders (pins)

The recipe is provided for 6 sizes:
NB-3 months / 3-6 months / 6-9 months / 9-12 months / 12-18 months / 18-24 months.

All measurements are given in both cm and inches for your convenience.

This is not a precise step-by-step pattern! You make a swatch and make calculations with the given formulas.
