This Dragonpine Designs pattern was designed by Judy Turner and Janet Filipchuk.

This pattern is written for the LK150 knitting machine (mid-gauge 6.5mm knitting machine). Pattern includes extensive written instructions (9 pages including high-resolution photographs of both cable stitch patterns for the pillow covers, and full-page charts colour-coded with symbol legend for ease of use). Full row counts, needle number references, and carriage positions for both cover patterns are given in easy to follow written instructions for ease of keeping track of progress. Pillow cover height can be easily modified by increasing or decreasing row repeats to accommodate pillow forms that are not square (but are at least 14” on one side). Designed as a wedding shower gift, these pillow covers make a quick, easy, and thoughtful gift! The covers feature a button band with button holes, so the covers are removable for easy cleaning.

Pattern Stitch Details:

  • Asymmetrical Braided Cable design: this all-over design features a knit 1 below border, a 2-stitch twist, and an asymmetrical braid.
  • Traditional Cable design: this all-over design features a knit 1 below border with a traditional left-leaning cable design in the middle.

Recommended Tension Dial Setting: 5.5
