I have designed this easy beaded boho crochet cushion cover with basic crochet stitches using US terminology of chains, single crochets and the puff stitch. It is not complicated but still has an overall affect of looking fabulous. For UK and Australian crocheters there is a stitch conversion for you. I have also included a handy written and visual tutorial on the puff stitch.

This crochet cushion cover can also be made without using the beads. I have included instructions for this in the pattern download.

All my patterns are written in my own unique style giving you step by step instructions with large images at each stage so you can track your progress visually as well. This pattern is 20 pages in length.

The beaded puff stitch pattern design is featured on the front. The back of the cushion is plain and closes with 3 natural wooden buttons.

I have finished this cushion cover in a 10 ply eco cotton with a stitch tension of 15 stitches x 19 rows (10 x 10 cm sq). Any 10 ply or chunky cotton or cotton blend yarn would work well for this project. You could also use an 8 ply yarn but keep in mind the finished size will be smaller than the sizing indicated below so you would need a smaller cushion insert.

MATERIALS

10 ply or chunky cotton or cotton blend

CROCHET HOOK: METRIC: Size 5.00mm, USA: 8/H, UK: Size 6.

I used 2 x 200g balls of 10 ply cotton yarn for this cushion. Any yarn that is a 10 ply cotton or cotton blend would be suited to this project. You can also use an 8 ply yarn but keep in mind the finished cushion cover will be smaller than the size indicators below.

63 x beads that have an inner hole big enough to thread through your yarn (cushion can be made without the beads).

3 x Buttons for closure at the back.

Darning needle to sew in ends and thread on buttons to yarn.

TENSION - Based on the cotton yarn I used for this project

15 stitches x 19 rows (10 x 10 cm sq)

SIZE

Square: To fit a 50cm square cushion insert - different yarn ply will give a different finished size result.
