Cute bird with hat and bandana
This bird is easy to crochet, even if you’re just a beginner. The hat and bandana aren’t sewed to the bird, so these can also be changed. This allows children to really play with the crocheted bird and the colours can also be adapted to the colours in the children’s room.
The bird is a lovely toy for children, and could also be a nice babyshower gift.
The pattern is easy to follow and contains lot of pictures. If you know the basic stitches (chain, slip stitch, single crochet and double crochet) and how to crochet in the round, you can already get started with this pattern.
I crocheted the bird with acrylic yarn and crochet hook 3 mm. You can also use a different yarn, the bird may only differ slightly in size. Just be sure to use the same weight yarn for every section.
My bird is ± 65 cm tall.
