This cute sea turtle is made with 7 pieces : head, shell/stomach, 2 frong legs, 2 back legs and one tail. You can add a little bow on the head.

It is destined to a child but it is so cute your may want to keep it on your shelve !

The pattern is very easy to follow with step-by-step pictures. You can try it as your first crochet work.
If you are used to crochet amigurumis you can download the shorter pattern without pictures.

HOOK
This pattern can be worked with any hook you want. Refer to your yarn’s hook size recommendations and go one size smaller : it will give structure to your octopus.

YARN
This pattern has been tested with Worsted, Bulky and Aran yarn (10-12 ply). Keep in mind the yarn you choose should be slightly bigger than your crochet size.
You will need 3 yarn colors :

• Head, legs and tail color : about 100-170m / 109-186 yards of yarn
• Shell color: about 80-100m / 87-109 yards of yarn
• Stomach color : 50-70m / 55-77 yards of yarn

In addition, you will need a bit of black yarn for the eyes and mouth.

OTHER MATERIAL
Fiberfill stuffing, 1 or 2 rattles (optional).
