Cutie Booty Bottoms
With the Cutie Booty Bottoms pattern, you can knit anything from cute micro-shorts to longer capris. They are a perfect staple in your knit wardrobe because they match your Cutie Tee perfectly. Now the set is complete.
The bottoms are worked seamlessly from the top down, making it easy to adjust the length to your preference. An elastic band is inserted into the waistband to keep the bottoms comfortably in place as you wear them.
Sizing:
Sizing starts from 72 cm to 134 cm in hip circumference. You can choose from 9 sizes.
This pattern is partially made-to-measure. Throughout the pattern, you will use three body measurements in a few simple calculations to determine how many stitches or rounds to work.
Choose your size based on your hip or waist circumference, as this determines how many stitches to cast on. Measure around your hips or where you would like your Cutie Booty Bottoms to sit - whether you prefer a high-, mid-, or low-rise fit.
This pattern has been written to be as beginner-friendly and easy to follow as possible. However, if you have any questions, you are always welcome to contact me.
Yarn:
For the Cutie Booty Bottoms, you will need two yarn colors: Color A (the raglan stripes) and Color B. The yarn should be fingering weight.
Since the bottoms are designed with a slight negative ease, a yarn with natural elasticity is recommended. This means a yarn that stretches slightly while still being able to spring back into shape after wear. Most wool yarns are therefore an excellent choice, but the bottoms can also be knit in cotton or a cotton/wool blend.
If you choose cotton, keep in mind that it is less elastic than wool and therefore more likely to stretch during wear. If your swatch turns out too loose, try going down one needle size. If this changes the size too much, you can simply knit one size larger.
