Dad's Flat Cap
Challenge your crochet skills with this traditional Flat Cap crochet pattern.
This pattern is not for those who are new to crochet – it is suitable for Intermediate crocheters.
There are detailed instructions, photos, a schematic, and a video tutorial to help you along the way.
Pattern Contents: The pattern is fully GPSR compliant and includes 16 pages of instructions, with detailed notes, schematics, photo tutorials, as well as a supporting video tutorial just for this pattern. There are also several QR codes to take you to other YouTube tutorials.
Crochet Level: Intermediate skill level – this pattern contains more complex techniques, including the Herringbone Stitch, short rows, shaping, and joining pieces.
Equipment Needed: You will need a 4mm crochet hook, 100g of DK/light yarn, scissors, a tapestry needle, and stitch markers. For the hat featured in the photos, I used Stylecraft Highland Heathers in Moss.
Although this pattern is written in UK terms, only the Herringbone double crochet is different from the US, where it is a Herringbone single crochet.
Measurements: To fit a 60cm head circumference and contains instructions on how to adapt to make the size of your choice.
