DAHLIA
Dahlia is a semi-crescent lace shawl with a floral pattern, knit from the centre out. It imitates the foliage of a dahlia flower, starting with small florets that grow larger and larger as the shawl grows, ending with a lace mesh that accentuates the tips.

The shawl is based on the same principles as the pi shawl, developed by Elisabeth Zimmerman, where the number of stitches multiply at a certain interval. In this case the increases have, however, been continuously integrated in the lace pattern. For the lace to bloom properly, it should be blocked tightly.

The Dahlia shawl is adapted for the yarn Cheeky Merino Joy from Rosy Green Wool, a lovely sport weight merino yarn so soft you will want to cuddle it.
