The Dahlia Pot Holder is a great piece for a dining table. It is made from 100% cotton and is easily washable.

It is constructed from two circles that are joined together to create the pot holder. Warm dishes can then be placed on the potholder so the table is protected.

There are two sizes:
Medium measures 14.5cms and uses 35g/70m of yarn
large measures 22cms and uses 67g/134m of yarn.

Gauge:
Gauge is not critical for the pattern but it will affect the yarn amount required.
Gauge is measured from the centre of the potholder. 5cm is 6 rounds for both front circles.

Material required: 100% cotton yarn

Yarn weight: DK/8 ply/lightly worsted
A different yarn weight can be used. It will just make the potholder larger or smaller.

Stitches used:
The potholder comes in both US and UK terms.

The stitches used in US terms are sc, hdc, dc, puff st, dc cluster and reverse sc.

The stitches used in UK terms are dc, htr, tr, puff, tr cluster and crab st.

A photo tutorial is also included for the invisible join technique.
