The Dahlia Square pattern is worked in the round, using one colour for the flower and a contrasting colour for the background. The pattern is for a single square, which can be joined using your favourite method to create blankets, bags, cushions, or whatever else you can think of!
I used scraps of double knit yarn and a 4mm hook to make my squares, but the pattern could easily be worked in any weight yarn and corresponding hook. Gauge is not important, although the shape of the flowers could lose some definition if they are too loose. If you tend to work on the loose side, try using a slightly smaller hook.
