Sipping tea with knitting in your lap. Chatelaines holding your notions, tucked into your pocket for safe keeping. Shawl around your shoulders and warm socks on your feet, this little apron completes any knitters ensemble.

This apron is the perfect combination of simple and feminine, with pockets customization for either dainty accessories just large enough to hold your favorite notions to large enough to keep your hands warm. Perfect for wearing with your favorite slippers while you are crafting at home, or your favorite boots while out in the garden.

Yarn:
Medium worsted or Aran weight yarn. Wool or desired fiber.

400 yards or less depending on apron size. If you want a larger apron plan on a bit more yardage just to be safe. If using Lion Brands Fisherman wool a single skein should be sufficient. If using another brand make sure to check dye lots match.

Needles and notions:
Size 8 long circular needles to accommodate apron. I suggest 40” cable or longer.
Tapestry needle or crochet hook for working in ends.

Ribbon or leather for a waist tie. You can also knit an I cord, I suggest purling every stitch.
Additional leather or ribbon for accent details (top of pocket and above and below waist tie).
Optional lace to edge sides and bottom of apron and if you like top of pocket.
If you want to add a ribbon or lace rose you may want a button for the center. This is a nice option for single pocket aprons.

Gauge:
4sts in cable and garter st = 1”

Note:
This pattern is written to adjust to fit larger or smaller frame and can be knit to fit children up to plus size, you will need to adjust yardage accordingly.
