This cute and romantic styled project bag is great for holding small works in progress, and has a lovely feel of bygone eras! I really enjoyed working this up with the Cedar yarn, it literally glides off your hook so beautifully and doesn’t split at all. Any of the listed yarns will give a similar result, however you could really use any yarn you like with the appropriate hook size, it’s a versatile pattern.

I hope you enjoy the soothing process of creating something that is both useful and beautiful.
I use this for holding a WIP or two. It can stretch and hold a reasonable amount of yarn!

Yarn needed: I used 4 x 50g balls of Cedar (450m total) in the colour Apricot (124-04)

Finished size: Diameter: 21cm (8.25in) Height: 23cm (9.5in)

Project suits: beginners and everybody!

Terminology: Both US & UK in separate PDFs

Video linked in the pattern to my You Tube for the drawstring Crochet Cord.

The Dainty Drawstring Bag was originally featured in the Australian ‘Crate Crochet’ Subscription Box in September, 2020.
Many subscribers made and loved this one. Some made multiple bags as gifts.

Gauge: 15 rounds of continuous single crochet = 10cm (4in) diameter.

The base & body of this bag are both worked in a continuous spiral.

Happy Crocheting!!
