My Daisies for Days Blanket is the blanket version of my Daisies for Days Pillow. These projects are inspired by the daisy garland that I named my crochet Instagram after! It is the perfect blanket for spring and summer because it is made with cotton yarn, and the gaps between the hexagons ensure that it is lightweight. It is composed of nine rows of hexagons: fifty full sized hexagons and eight half hexagons. The half hexagons are placed on the ends of the even numbered rows to ensure that the edges of the blanket are straight. The join as you go method is utilized to join the hexagons. Then, a border is added to the blanket. There are photos throughout the pattern to help you with all of the steps! I used Blue Sky Fibers organic worsted cotton yarn, but any worsted weight yarn will work. You will need one skein of the color of the centers of the flowers, two skeins of the colors of the petals, and eight skeins of the background color. The finished blanket is 53 by 38 in, but you could add or subtract rows as you please to make it the desired size!
Note: I have updated the pattern PDF to include a chart for the hexagons!
