The pattern gives instructions for a tea cosy for two sizes of teapot. It is easily adjusted for any size.

The cosy is knitted in two flat pieces and seamed along the sides, with gaps left for the handle and spout. Add as many or as few daisies as you wish!

DK yarn, one ball each of green, blue, red and yellow. Actual amounts required for the small cosy shown above are approximately 6g of green, 10g of blue, and 5g each of yellow and red
A pair of 3 mm knitting needles
Small buttons, one for each flower, approximately 0.5 inches / 1 cm across
Tapestry needle
A pencil and a safety pin for the twisted cord

MEASUREMENTS:

Size of teapot
Small:
Height from middle of lid to base 5 inches / 12.5 cm
Around widest part not including handle 12 inches / 33 cm

Large:

The photograph shows the small size of teapot and cosy with 8 small daisies and 4 large daisies. For different sizes instructions are given on how to adapt the pattern.

The cosy is knit at a tighter gauge than usual for this weight of yarn, for good insulation. It is a generous size to fit easily.
