A simple shawl that is all about the colours you choose. Knitted from the top down with increases worked in five spots and finished with a simple garter stitch border, this piece is suitable for beginners and smooth sailing for the more seasoned knitter. Go bold in vivid colours or muted in pastels.
Generous in size, it’s shape lets it sit nicely on your shoulders.

Size is easily adaptable by working more or less rows, but this will of course affect the yarn amount needed.

Yarn requirements: C1 app. 150 m/164 yd; C2 app. 200 m/218 yd; C3 app. 235 m/257 yd

Sample was knitted with Belana Lace Wool (256 m/280 yd 50g) by ©Maschenkunst, Cologne, shown in colourway Winter White, Harebell, and Blueprint (blue version) and Pale Pink, Cottage, and Pagan (pink version). All yardages are estimates. Yarn comes in balls of 50g, so shawl could be knitted bigger, if desired or leftovers can be used to knit a matching pair of wristwarmers.
