This dramatic cowl uses Bart & Francis Compressed Brioche Stitch featured in my book Knitting Fresh Brioche. I have converted the stitch pattern to be knit in the round.

I used the following yarns: Swan’s Island Natural Color Merino Worsted, 100% organic merino wool, 100gr= ±250m
Colors: LC = Winterberry YW220 and DC = Logwood YW218, 1 skein each color.

It is a lovely stitch for a cowl because both sides have a different appearance and are equally beautiful. Increases and decreases are worked in every LC round.
