The Dance Cardi is a simple, top-down, raglan style cardigan with sleeves that decrease rapidly at the cuffs. The seed stitch detailing and the little tie at the bottom make this the perfect seasonal transition piece. Looks like the ideal ballet, yoga, or exercise cardi!! Loose and flowy, this piece is also perfect to ball up and throw in your bag for those chilly restaurants and grocery stores!!

4-6” (10 -15 cm) built-in positive ease

Yarn:
Silky Wool, light dk wt yarn, 45% Wool, 35% Silk, + 20% Nylon (50 g/1.76 oz/192 yds /175 m).
5 (6, 6, 7, 7) 8, 9, 9, 10 skeins

You can also use: 840 (960, 1060, 1175, 1290) 1430, 1560, 1690, 1830 yds / (766 (875, 967, 1071, 1176) 1304, 1422, 1541, 1668 m) of ANY light dk wt yarn, or 1050 (1250, 1350, 1475)1625, 1800, 1975, 2175, 2350 yds of any fingering wt yarn held double with any mohair-silk or suri alpaca-silk yarn.

Sample Yarn Amounts:
For my green sample, I used 5.5 skeins (1,056 yds/966 m) of Silky Wool, dk wt yarn in color, “Peridot.”

For my cream sample, I used 3 skeins (1,320 yds/1,210 m) of Hedgehog Fibers, fingering wt sock yarn, in color, “Teacup” held double with undyed suri-alpaca silk yarn. Gauge was 20 sts + 26 rows = 4” (10 cm) on US 7 (4.50 mm) needles in stock st (unblocked). Note that this will produce a slightly smaller cardigan with a 2-4” pos ease.

US 5 (3.75 mm) circular
US 7 (4.50 mm) circular

Gauge:
19 sts + 28 rows = 4” (10 cm) on size US 7 (4.50 mm) needles OR size needed to obtain gauge in stock st (blocked).
