Who could possibly have predicted that one of the most beautiful images from the Tokyo Opening Ceremony would be “dancing” drones ??

so this is a little tribute to that gorgeous image ….

I used indigo yarn to reflect the effect, but the pattern can work with other yarns too (I also made one with Noro Obi).

If you use a variegated or self-striping yarn you get extra complexity with no extra effort.

You will need at least 225m/250yds of each of 2 yarns.
That will yield a topline of about 150cm/60”
For a larger shawl just allow more yarn (up to 500m/550yds of each yarn).
