Needles and Notions
You can used DPNs or circular needles for this project, I recommend a circular needle 24 inches / 60 cm long.
3.0 mm (US 2½) needle(s) for ribbing or 0.25 mm smaller than your main needle.
3.25 mm (US 3) needle(s) (main needles) or size required to obtain gauge in stockinette st.
Beginning of round stitch marker, darning needle to sew in ends.

GAUGE
26 sts x 32 rounds to 4 inches / 10 cm using 3.25 mm (US 3) in stockinette st, after washing and drying flat.
27 sts to 4 inches / 10 cm using 3.25 mm (US 3) in mosaic, after washing and drying flat. The number of rounds is harder to measure due to the nature of mosaic, but the patterned band measures approx. 1½ inches / 4cm.
