This cowl is knit in the round from the top down. The lace pattern expands at the bottom, causing the cowl to flare and sit comfortably on your shoulders.

Needles: size #4 to #6
I found very little difference in using the #4 and #6 needles, but chose the #6 because I preferred using them. I encourage you to experiment and go with what you prefer! I also chose a lace tip needle because I found it easier to work with. If you do not have one, try a regular tip and if you are having difficulty, then go with the lace tip.

Gauge: The stockinette gauge listed is in case you are looking to substitute yarns. The actual working gauge is listed in the pattern and is based on the lace pattern that I have used. Exact gauge is not crucial, but a recommended gauge which corresponds to the yardage listed.

Measurements:
Circumference: 22” to 34”; 14” deep
I highly recommend the yarn used (Mimi) as it is heavenly to wear!
