MATERIALS and TOOLS
The chart is created using two colors.I used Adelia TINA 333,5 yards per 100g (308m/100g), 100% acryl. Yardage: dark brown — approx. 62g, light beige — approx.59g.
Crochet hook No2.5. Any yarn and appropriately sized hook can be used to make this pattern but you will get a different size square. Acrylic yarns, cottons or a mixed fiber all will work well.

SIZE
Finished size 40 cm (approx. 15.75’’) square, weight — 121 g.

“Dancing Star block” is made in 45 rounds, starting with a magic circle. Block is crocheted in the round from the center and outward, using mosaic overlay crochet technique. The technique is not difficult, just pay close attention to the stitch placement in the chart. You will need to already be comfortable with the BLsc / FLdc technique of mosaic crochet worked from a chart and also foundation single crochet.

Stitches used are (all in US terms): slip stitch, chain stitch, single crochet in back loop only, double crochet in front loop only.

You can join as many motifs together as you want to create as large a blanket as you want or make a matching cushion cover, bag, coaster, use motif as a pocket…
