Dancing Waters Hat
I went in my local mountain ski shop to drop off some hats (I sell hats there) and got wrapped up in all the hoodies, t-shirts, and more with the bright colors and bold graphics that feature sunsets and stripes. I wanted to make a hat that could fit even better alongside all the colorful mountain-inspired goods and easily showcase bright colors, while using up some of the smaller yarn bits I have accumulated. This hat was one of two new patterns what I came up with - it reminds of sparkling lake water at sunset.
This can be a great stash busting pattern, using only 5-20 yards of 2 of the colors in the colorwork section. Perfect to use up those bits of brilliant colored left from other projects. The pattern uses Super Bulky yarn. I have written the pattern for 3 sizes: child, adult m/l, and adult l/xl. Shown in Lion Brand Wool Ease Thick and Quick, Michael’s brand Cozy Wool, Baah Mammoth, Hedgehog Super Bulky and Malabrigo Rasta.
Pattern includes tips for easily adapting the hat sizes if needed.
