Crochet this adorable trio of dirt clumps representing the life cycle of a dandelion, with sprouting leaves, flowers and fluffy dandelions! Their stringy arms and legs and shaped bottoms are sure to bring a smile to your face! Dandelions are symbols of hope, resilience and perseverance as they can grow and bloom in even the harshest conditions!

I used Chenille Appeal yarn in “Stucco” for the dirty body, Bonbons for the arms/legs, sprout and flower, and a strand of Go For Faux yarn for the fluffy dandelion.

You can substitute different yarn weights and hook sizes to vary the size of your dirt clumps!

Use the hashtag #dandeliondirt when posting your amigurumi on social media!

We purchased the “FEJKA” artificial potted plants from IKEA as they fit the dirt clumps perfectly. We removed the artificial plant and soil and used a drill to remove the inner tube so that the dirt clumps could fit inside.
