Dandelion Mind Shortie socks. This ones a little bit different. A two in one pattern where you can chose your preferred heel method. Whether your preference is a turned heel or an afterthough heel, this patterns got you covered.

Knit top down from cuff to toe, in two colours, with a wedge toe and your choice of heel, this pattern will allow you to knit a pair of socks to your design preference.

Toes and afterthought heels are closed using Kitchener stitch, then a mohair ruffle is then added just below the cuff.

Pattern includes full written instructions for both afterthought heel and turned heel versions of this design (including my method on how to avoid those pesky gusset gaps holes). Full written instructions are also provided for grafting toes and heels closed using Kitchener stitch.

Green socks made using the afterthought heel method, blue socks made using the turned heel method.

Sizes
Both designs available in 6 sizes:
Baby, Toddler, Child, Adult Small, Medium and Large
(Please note baby, toddler and child sizes were not part of the test knit process).

Measurements
Circumference approximate: 12.5, 14, 16.5 (19, 20.5, 23) cm / 5, 5.5, 6.5 (7.5, 8, 9) inches

Sizing
To determine the most appropriate sock size to knit, measure the circumference of your foot at the widest part. It is always best to have 1-3cm negative ease when knitting socks to ensure a close fit. My foot circumference is 23cm, so I knit the size Adult M.

Average length measurements given within the pattern. as well as full instructions on how to get an accurate measurement for a more personalised foot length including the placement of the afterthought heel.
