A rectangular shaped scarf knit with Cascade 220 Superwash yarns using US 10/6mm 32” Circular needles.

The inspiration for this design came from living on a farm in rural Indiana where I can sit on my porch swing and see the dandelions sprinkled throughout our pasture field.

In keeping with the dandelion theme, I chose to use the dandelion stitch pattern on a background of stockinette stitch in moss green to mimick the grass, stems, and leaves of the dandelions. I also chose the Lace Wedge on a background of seed stitch using daffodil colored yarn to mimick the floral petals of the dandelion and to reflect the change to seeds that float on the air.

This is a simple knit for those who are looking to learn textured stitches as well as a simple lace pattern.

Gauge is 18 stitches and 24 rows per 4 inches (10cm). Gauge is not crucial to this project, but will affect size and yardage used.
