I needed a layer to wear to an upcoming wedding and I also needed a knitting project that was memorizable for an easy travel project. This pretty and practical shrug is the result! “Danis” is our nick-name for the wedding couple as well as the name of this pattern.

The shrug comes in 3 sizes. Each size starts at 20”/50cm at the neckline and then grows on a 90 degree angle along the raglan seams to the almost-ruffled hemline. Sizing width-wise is flexible like a poncho; increases vary the sleeve and body length evenly. The sample is made in the 42¾”/108.5cm (measured at hemline) size and is shown on a model with a 39”/99cm bust. See schematic for more sizing details.
