Knit a custom sized sweater for your special dog. “Darling Darby Sweater” instructions includes fill-in-the-blank places for your calculations, along with step-by-step instructions for each section of the sweater.

Or use the custom calculation worksheet that is included with “Darling Darby Sweater” to determine your stitch counts, increases & decreases before you start to knit.

Or use the link for the online Darling Darby calculator now included in the pattern.

Sizing is based on your dog’s measurements and your gauge (yes, you should make a gauge swatch), so there is some measuring & math - nothing hard and examples are provided. If your dog is like mine, the hardest measurement to take is the shoulder - they want to help. (The more accurate the shoulder measurement the better the neck/shoulder fit will be. Be sure to measure from the dog’s backbone between their shoulder blades ~ where their neck joins their body ~ to just behind & below their front ‘armpit’. Add your chosen ease to that measurement for the final shoulder length figure. If the neck pulls down, the shoulder measurement is too short).
