The Darling Mermaids Blanket is knit in a large tube and steeked. A knit binding is then applied around the edge and the back is lined in fabric.

This is the most complicated of the Darling Mermaids patterns and to complete it you should be comfortable with steeking and hand sewing. I do not include detailed instructions on how to steek. I do include pictures to help with the sewing requirements.

The yardage in worsted weight yarn is as follows:
550 yards/ 503 meters motif color (example used peach)
550 yards/ 503 meters background color (example used light blue)
440 yards/ 396 meters binding color (example used peach)
also requires roughly 1 yard/ 1 meter of fabric for lining
