Does the world need another simple hat pattern? Probably not. However, does everyone need to be reminded that tweeds look gorgeous in reverse stockinette stitch? Definitely.

A simple reversible hat with either a deep or a shallow ribbed brim. Both versions shown here are knit with a stockinette stitch top and flipped inside out to feature the reverse stockinette stitch side.

Note: It is possible to make either the deep or shallow rib hat from 98 yards if you match the gauge exactly and unravel and re-use yarn from your swatch.
