So what do you do with neon pink and purple sock yarn that you just had to buy? You make a hat for a runner, of course!! In the winter I love to run but it’s usually pretty dark when I’m out there in the cold, so I decided to make this hat to make me a bit more visible on those early morning runs.
Skill Level: Intermediate

SIZE: One size, up to 22 inches circumference

Finished Measurements: 48 cm/19”
circumference at brim, unstretched after blocking

Gauge: 27 sts to 10 cm/4” on 3 mm needles in color-work pattern.

Materials Needed: US 1/2.5mm and size US 3/3 mm (or size to give you correct gauge) double pointed needles (set of 5 DPNs) or
circular needles at least 40”/100 cm long for magic loop, 4 stitch markers.

Yarn: 50 g each of Regia 4-ply (black) and Schachenmayr Regia Fluormania Color, color number 7185 or any fingering weight sock yarn will work.
