Dash Cowl
I love experimenting in the fiber arts. Every so often I find myself using the basic stitches in new ways.
In this instance, I had two issues I was trying to solve.
One, a thicker looking fabric that wasn’t a yarn eater and wasn’t single crochet heavy (I tend to do single crochets too tight), and two, a seamless (or near seamless) join that didn’t migrate diagonally.
I was successful on both counts.
The stitch is a two row repeat, and is based on the linen stitch. There are enough slight differences that kept me from referring to it as a modified linen stitch, so I’m going to call it the dash stitch, because of the way the stitches line up.
