A part of the Dash It All! collection, this hat pattern includes 2 sizes, and can be worked in an aran weight yarn for a thicker hat, or in a worsted weight for a slightly lighter fabric.

The hat is worked in the round from the bottom up in a dashed, diagonal scallop stitch pattern that is both easy and enjoyable to knit. An optional pompom adds to the fun, and the hat may also be worked as a cowl if desired (directions included in the pattern).

Purchase of this pattern will also give you an automatic 25% off the Dash It All! ebook should you choose to purchase it later on.

Older children and adults and teens with smallish heads will likely wear the medium size best. Bigger noggins will likely prefer the large size. To adjust the pattern further, be aware that you need to CO a multiple of 12 sts to complete the pattern as written. Casting on 12 more sts than size large will require more yarn, however, and 12 fewer sts than size medium (for a younger child) will use less yarn.
