“Daughters” Cowl/Capelet

This pattern contains the written instructions for making this design in two different styles in Aran weight yarn.

The pattern contains the instructions for making this design with a fuller shaping and decorative neck edge, (seen in the paler colourway), and also in garter stitch with decorative front panels, seen in the red colourway. This one could also be created in just garter stitch and the pattern includes those directions, as well the option to make without the button holes should you wish to fasten with a pin instead.

It’s a simple design created using short rows and simple stitches, that produces a piece carrying warmth to the shoulders and neck, its a piece that’s suitable for everyday use, or an occasion piece for maybe a wedding or evening, when you need a little warmth around the shoulders as well as a pretty feminine wrap.

I hope that whichever you decide to create it in, that you have fun both in the making as well as the wearing.
If you prefer to create the style in a chunky weight yarn please have a look at My Blessing. And for the style in a dk weight, the pattern is My Darling.
