Daves sweater jr. a rather thick and wonderful sweater with extra length and an oversize fit. It is the perfect outer garment with extra clothes underneath when the temperature starts to drop. Ideal for cold autumn and winter days, inside and outside.
Daves sweater jr. is worked bottom up with double thread on thick needles. It is divided into front and back piece at the armhole openings and both pieces are finished separately. The neckline is large and thick and it is folded double before the stitches are cast off. Pick up stitches for the sleeves around the armhole openings and work them to your desired length.

Vams in 100% Norwegian wool will give a dense and heavy sweater with good durability that will last long. The yarn has many good qualities such as tenacity.
Puno and Cloud will give a thinner wool sweater with a bit more air between the stitches, but still with good thickness and warmth. This yarn creates an airy sweater that moves gently when worn.

Size guide:
Choose a size that is approx. 25-30 cm larger than the child’s chest circumference (positive ease).
The stated measurement on the front page is for the finished garment.

Needle sizes:
Circular needle 10 mm (40, 60 or 100 cm) for all pieces in stockinette stitch, both at body and sleeves. Use Magic Loop method at sleeves or dpns.
Circular needle 8 mm (40, 60 or 100 cm) for ribbing at cuffs, hem and neckline. Use Magic Loop method at sleeves or dpns.

Colour:
The pictured sweater is worked in Lang Cloud 009.

If you want to work Dave’s sweater in Lang Cloud, you will need the same amount of yarn as Rauma Puno. Round up to the nearest 100 g if necessary in your size.
